One of the services we provide is site preparation which includes the grading and leveling of a site in preparation for building a residence or commercial building. Depending upon the type of terrain we’re dealing with, and whether there is a lot of vegetation or rock on the site, this preparation may include removal of discarded rock or trees, breaking up rock discovered during preparation, and bringing in fill dirt to build up the site, making it ready for the digging of footings. During this preparation, we compact the site, using water to assure we get the proper moisture content for compaction.  Compaction testing is recommended to assure the proper compaction has been reached.  

Once the building site is properly prepared, we can dig footings and trench for plumbing, electrical, and sewer or septic and any other requested trenching. When the building is complete, we perform final grading around the site to clean it up and provide drainage away from the building.

To assist with current Santa Fe County water issues, we also work with those individuals who wish to install water catchment systems, digging holes for large containment tanks and providing all trenching needed to complete the system.  

Over the years we’ve been in business we have had the opportunity to trench in numerous utility lines. We have also buried numerous propane tanks, working in conjunction with local propane companies to assure they are properly buried.

We always make sure existing utility lines are marked to assist us in providing due care for your lines. If we are in areas where the One Call locators will not mark, we have access to private locators who will work with us to minimize the chances of cutting a line. Keeping your utilities active is a vital concern of ours.

When the weather turns bad or when the rains come, our customers realize the need to fix their driveways that have become slick with mud and 'lost' it's gravel. We will repair your existing driveway, adding gravel or base course to the driveway, and if culverts are needed, we will install those for you as well.   If desired, road fabric can be installed under the base course to provide a more solid surface.

If you need to put in a road where one has not existed before, we also carve driveways out of native soil, adding material where necessary, to provide the proper grade, and finally, topping it off with base course or gravel, or both.  We work with a local paving company if pavement is requested.

Any of our driveway work, whether it is a new road, or repairs to an existing driveway, can be completed with or without compaction. Compaction will provide a longer lasting roadway and is recommended wherever new material is added.

As with most living creatures, we all must pass on at one point or another. One of the services we provide to the horse community is private horse burials for our clients’ beloved and loyal friends.

Other horse-related work we have completed is outdoor horse arenas. We will level the site, allowing the proper slope for drainage, add compacted fill and top it off with sand or special materials which the owners request. We do not provide fencing for the perimeter.
